Three Months Old

First Trip to the Zoo

Sunday was a really nice day so we decided to take Luke to the zoo. By the time we got out of the house it was three o'clock and starting to get cold but we bundled Luke up and went anyway.

The local zoo is pretty small but we saw flamingos, monkeys and bears. Luke could not have cared less about any of the animals but liked being carried around by Mommy and Daddy.

Our Baby is Two Months Already!

I can't believe Luke is already two months old. He is already such a little boy and is getting bigger and bigger everyday. He wakes up for two to three hours each night but is usually pretty happy during that time. Hopefully the tough nights are behind us now! He is smiling a lot and laughs and coos when I change his diaper. He is so sweet and loves to cuddle and take baths with dad.

New Orleans Here We Come

We finally found out that we will be transferred to New Orleans sometime this summer. It wasn't our first pick, but the more we talk about it the more excited we are becoming. Our good friends who are also our upstairs neighbors will be moving there as well so that makes it even more exciting.

I think we are going to live in housing again. We have made really good friends here so hopefully housing in NOLA will have the same environment. The housing is on base so Nik can walk to work. There is a pool, gym, running track, daycare, NASA explorer school, commisary and car wash all on base!!

Nik is excited about all of the SAR (search and rescue) and I am excited for all of the shopping!! I can't wait to live in a city with an actual mall.

I am sure that moving to the south will be a culture shock for us both but it will be an adventure and I think we are ready!
